FRENZY
Passion. Fear. Excitement.
The intellectual
man requires a fine bait; the sots are easily amused. But everybody is drugged
with his own frenzy, and the pageant marches at all hours, with music and
banner and badge. – Ralph Waldo
Emerson
Life can get hectic and we find ourselves surging forward in
frenzy. Sometimes for positive,
sometimes for negative. Frenzy drives
fear, passion and excitement. It can
overwhelm. It can inspire.
This group exhibition explores frenzy at individual, external, sexual
and fantastical scales and stances.
From photographic art to acrylics, visionary painting to wearable art,
explore each artist’s journey from sedate to frenzy and back again.
2 Birds 1 Stone Arts Planning & Management introduces an exciting
collaborative exhibition in multiple mediums, featuring works by four emerging
Australian artists: KIRSTEN HERITAGE – WENDY PEPYAT – CATE CURWOOD – KIMBERLEY
HARGRAVE
The photographic artworks of emerging Australian artists, Kirsten
Heritage and Cate Curwood are currently hanging in Milan, as part of the
International ArtExpo 2015.
Curwood’s work, along with visionary paintings by Wendy Pepyat will
also be heading to Rome later in the year.
Kimberley Hargrave’s intricate couture wearable art has adorned wedding
parties, featured in numerous South Australia exhibitions and may soon to be
heading for an exhibition in the US.
Highlighted by the works of other Australian artists, , Susa Lhamo, Eve
Izzett, Kathleen Cameron and Barb Ross, this collaborative exhibition aims to
show the positive outcome of frenzy – for that is what we hope to achieve as
you celebrate with us at our Opening Night Gala.
